What We expect from you

Organisational Structure:

Badminton Shuttle Stars (BSS) Community Trust is the Operating Body of the Club. 

The club is managed by “BSS Trustees” consisting of the volunteer Trustees 

They are actively assisted by volunteers committee made up of club members - "BSS Trustees' Advisory Committee". There is at least one meeting each financial quarter to discuss the Operations, Administration and Finances. 

Operations and administration:

A members only WhatsApp group(s) are the official communication platform of the Club that is approaching its 5th Year Anniversary in Oct 2025. The Club policy matters, any changes, related debates and discussions take place in the relevant BSS WhatsApp groups. The weekly availability poll and all other socio-communal activities take place too. The club members go out for a social drinks frequently to a local public house.

Finances:

Club Finances operate only on digital banking so NO CASH TRANSACTIONS are involved. The surplus fund is invested back in the community by hiring more courts and providing FREE* kids' badminton coaching.

Annual General Meeting (AGM)

Around mid February, an Annual General Meeting (AGM) takes place  during Club's Membership year where the Operational, Administrative, Technical and Financial matters are shared openly with all the Club Members.

Responsibilities and Codes

 

The BSS Trustees' Advisory Group is deemed responsible for implementation of Badminton England's

The BSS Trustees' decision remains final in all circumstances.

Overall, we are a CO-OPERATIVE Badminton Club who take pride of being OPEN, HONEST and DIRECT
